Call for Nominations – Election of Six Members of the European XFEL User Organization Executive Committee (UOEC)

The purpose of the User Organization of European XFEL is to provide an organized framework for discussion between the users and the Management Board of European XFEL, in particular to give feedback to the Management in order to improve the conditions for users performing experiments and to help widen the user community.

We are inviting nominations for candidates to stand for the election of
six members of the User Organization Executive Committee (UOEC)
i.e. one representative for each of these EuXFEL instrument user communities:
FXE, SPB/SFX, MID, HED, SCS and SQS

The election will take place in November 2025 and elected candidates will join the UOEC from January 2026. Elected members should be ready to serve for three years. Further details are available in the Charter of the User Organization.

Please help us identifying suitable candidates within the EuXFEL user community!

Nominations must be submitted by 28 October 2025 end of day, via e-mail to userorganizationelection@xfel.eu

including:

• indication of the community of interest,
• a short statement about professional experience/scientific expertise of the nominee and
• motivation to become a member of the Executive Committee, to be finally shown on the election website.
• Self-nominations are also welcome!

After this date, an electronic balloting will be set up and the election process will start.
