SK-ILO Day 2025

Workshop “SK-ILO day 2025”: European Research Infrastructures – an opportunity for Slovak industry, entrepreneurship and innovation.

On December 3, 2025, the “SK-ILO Day 2025” workshop was held at the Yasmin Hotel in Košice, organized by the Slovak ESFRI Commission in cooperation with NCP XFEL and ERI. The event was aimed at supporting cooperation between Slovak companies and major European research infrastructures.

The program was opened by Pavol Sovák (UPJŠ) and Tomáš Michalek (MŠVVaM SR), who emphasized the importance of involving industry in the innovation and investment activities of large research organizations. This was followed by a block of presentations by representatives of research infrastructures, such as European XFEL (Hamburg), ILL (Grenoble), EST (Canary Islands), CERN (Geneva), ELI ERIC (Dolní Břežany) and the INPROCAP project, which provided information on planned investments, technological needs and opportunities for Slovak companies.

The event continued with a series of B2B meetings, which provided space for individual consultations between Slovak companies and ILO representatives (Industrial Liaison Officers) from individual infrastructures. Discussions focused on specific opportunities in the areas of procurement, technology and R&D solutions.

The workshop confirmed the growing potential of Slovak companies for involvement in European research infrastructures and created a solid basis for further cooperation.
