The Slovak professional public is informed about the possibilities of using neutrons and the results of experimental projects at scientific conferences and seminars. The introductory seminar was organized on January 23, 2009 by the Institute of Experimental Physics of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Košice and the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the P. J. Šafárik University in Košice in cooperation with ILL.

Other neutron sections, more narrowly focused on materials research, were held at the 17th Conference of Slovak and Czech Physicists on September 7, 2011 in Žilina [http://www.sfs.sav.sk/17KSCF/] and at the 21st Conference of Slovak Physicists on September 9, 2015 in Nitra [www.kf.elf.stuba.sk/~21konferencia/neutronova-sekcia.html].

Since 2017, the neutron section has been a regular part of the XFEL and Synchrotron Radiation User School – SFEL. [https://www.sfel.sk/].
