PhD internship offer at ILL, Grenoble (2026)

National platform for cooperation with ILL „ILL SK”

To the attention of PhD students and supervisors in Slovakia!

Within the framework of the Scientific Membership of Slovakia at ILL, 3 years of funding is available for PhD students to make extended stays at ILL as part of collaborative projects with ILL scientists. The remaining funding will allow up to 2 students to each spend a year in a unique research environment at ILL to progress their PhD projects tied to Slovak institutes. This opportunity is open to all fields of research that can be addressed with neutrons.

If you are interested in this opportunity please send a document not exceeding 2 pages to the coordinator of Slovak membership at ILL Norbert Kučerka (norbert.kucerka@fpharm.uniba.sk) by the end of March 2026. In the document, please, identify yourself and your affiliation, describe briefly your project, its use of neutrons and links to ILL (including scientists there) and stating how an extended stay will be of benefit.

Proposals will be evaluated by a panel of scientists from Slovakia and ILL and the results will be announced one month after the submission deadline.
