Experiential learning for groups of high school students

Can you pipette? Have you heard of the Lorentz force? Want to know how a PCR test works? If these questions pique your curiosity, read on!

A unique opportunity for high school students interested in natural sciences – European XFEL, a research infrastructure for basic science near Hamburg, whose partner country is Slovakia, opens up the possibility of trying out work in leading laboratories!

One-day XcoolLab courses are offered for advanced high school students, in English or German. Both physics and biology labs are available.

The courses are free, you just need to register in advance with the corresponding teacher. The materials needed for the lessons can be downloaded from the website before arrival.
